Hypnotic aerial photography of the Big Apple

We’re familiar with photography showing the hustle and bustle of the New York streets, however NY based photographer Jeffrey Milstein is rising above that, quite literally, and has created a spectacular collection of photographs showcasing New York city from above.

Milstein started flying as a teen, and his passion for flight has influenced his photography career. After a career as an architect he turned his hand to his camera, and has been hanging out of helicopters and capturing cities from above for over a decade. His unique approach began when he started shooting the underbelly of air craft, and his focus and attention on design, colour and symmetry makes for some truly mesmerising photography.

Gemma Diaper

About

Gemma has grown up by the Dorset seaside, and adores any colour that can be found on a sunny shoreline or in the perfect sunset. She has a crafty eye, and is always looking for that perfect project to channel her inner upcycler. Her weaknesses are stationary (notebooks with a foil finishes), profound song lyrics and film soundtracks, and she can frequently be found stalking her way around floral pictures and stunning snaps on Instagram.
